**This article is only meant for informational purposes. A bouncy castle setup is normally done by the professionals of the industry. If you hire a bouncy castle for any purpose of your own, you should refrain yourself from erecting the entire castle on the grounds. The hiring company should do that on your behalf for maximum safety and maximum efficiency. A bouncy castle set-up is no mean feat indeed. It requires a good amount of organizational approach for the entire thing to be done in a jiffy. In this article, we have discussed the steps in precise detail for your reference. Let’s go through them without any further ado.
Setting up the castle
Bouncy castles should always be placed in the flattest part of the ground. So the first thing that you should do is to check out whether the ground (where you are planning to erect the castle) is bumpy or not. Avoid erecting the castle on the spot if it is.
After selecting a spot of your choice, walk over the region to check whether there are stones or sharp objects (such as broken pieces of glass) present in the area or not. These sharp objects can significantly damage the bouncy castle in case they aren’t noticed (and removed) before.
Unroll, unfold, and position the castle according to the requirements. Spread out the corners and tighten fast air escape tubes (if any). Certain bouncy castles come with fast air escape tubes with Velcro flaps. Do ensure they are zipped shut for the set-up.
Insert the blower into the inlet tube of the bouncy castle and secure the tube with the help of a belt strap. Some bouncy castles come with a belt strap of their own. You may use the same for this purpose of yours.
Fully unroll the extension cable on the ground. Cover it with a bag liner or something similar to prevent the entry of rainwater or inquisitive fingers inside.
Plug the extension cable into the RCD plug unit. And then, plug the blower cable into the extension socket and pull the switch. Note: In case you use a RCD circuit breaker for safety purposes (which is advisable indeed), press the reset button on as soon as you pull on the switch. The blower should start inflating the bouncy castle on its own. It should take roundabout 2 minutes for the castle to inflate to its full proportion.
Always keep children away from the electronics and the blower.
If the bouncy castle is used outdoors, it must be anchored at strategic anchor points. Stake the castle by inserting anchor stakes through different anchor ropes/loops located at the sides of the castle. Do ensure that the stakes are well inserted into the ground for maximum safety. If the castle is used on a hard surface, you can use sandbags for this purpose of yours.
Make sure electrical cables are placed out of the children’s way. And don’t forget to use proper insulation and protection to prevent any damage of water.
Lastly, place safety mats all over the ground to prevent any further occurrence of an accident. Packing the castle
Note: If the bouncy castle is wet for an extended period of time, make sure it’s dried properly before storage. You must not store a wet bouncy castle at any possible cost.
So that’s basically it. It’s time we bring this article to a close for now. Hope you had a good read.
