This How The Teaching System Work In The UK |

The education system in the UK is undoubtedly one of the best in the world. The study is complete and totally free in public schools. The children practically spend all day in the school, from nine in the morning until 3.30, with right (optional) to breakfast, lunch and in some establishments extra curricular activities are offered after the normal lesson schedule. The education system here is very different from the Brazilian one. Beginning with the school year starting in the first week of September and ending in mid-July. The school holidays calendar is practically incomprehensible to Brazilian teachers and students! The year is divided into three quarters ( terms, in English) coinciding with important dates such as Christmas and Easter. Everyend of term (children end of term ) children have two or three week vacations and summer are at least seven weeks ! And if it was not enough, in the middle of each quarter (that is, every six to seven weeks of school), schools close for a one-week recess ( half-term) and the children enjoy their free time. As soon as my children started school I wondered about the children's continued learning but over time I was adapting to this system. The truth is that spending the day at school intensifies training and knowledge and so too many vacations outweigh the hard work on school benches. Another interesting factor is that all didactic material, such as books, notebooks and handouts are offered by educational institutions, at no cost to the parents. While in Brazil at the beginning of the school year, parents are faced with the salt bill of the long list of school material here parents do not have this burden and concern. In the early grades pencil, eraser, sharpener, pen and paint pencil are provided by the school and shared among class students.requirement of the full uniform of use (which includes black shoe, shirt, tie, slacks and jacket for students over 11 years in public). In the early grades it is allowed to wear sweaters with school slogan with social pants for boys and skirt for girls in winter and striped dress in summer. Teaching is compulsory from September 1 after the child's fourth birthday to age 18. The vast majority of children between two and four years attend partially subsidized schools. With population growth, especially in London and south-east England, open-season vacancies in public schools are increasingly crowded. Tuition varies by county and county but is usually not made at school but together with local authority and places distributed according to family address, proximity to school and parent preference. Intern schoolA peculiar feature of the system here are boarding schools ( boarding school , in English), in private schools that receive students from 11-13 years continuing their studies up to 18 years in boarding school. The quality of teaching, with small classes (maximum 16 students), along with the variety of sports offered, is one of the main factors and distinguishes particular institutions from government schools. Only a minority of students have the privilege of studying in the UK private network (7% of all students up to 15 years and 18% in high school) while the rest of the students go to government schools or schools sponsored by non-governmental organizations (academy) that also provide good education. The main obstacle for students to attend private school is without doubt financial since this type of education does not cost cheap. But it is still a choice of parents. Many here in England point to the inner colleges as propagators of the elitism so prevalent in British society. In fact, boarding schools are an integral part of the British education system with historically prestigious and globally recognized institutions. Private schools ( independent schools in English) are associated with British culture and receive students from all over the world, many come from noble families of Europe and royal heirs. The education in boarding schools besides being comprehensive in the academic and sports field, promotes the development of the student as a whole, demanding greater responsibility of the students. Most of the great leaders of British history attended a boarding school. One of the most famous is Eton, a college for boys aged 13 to 18. Conversely education system for adults and skilled workers are extraordinarily excellent for example National Vocational Qualification like carpentry NVQ.
